This Woman’s Month, the South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC) welcomes Kate Moodley as the guest speaker for the Western Cape Chapter Networking Breakfast. Kate will be explaining the importance on becoming the ‘CEO of your brand’ and how to stand out in today’s ever-growing crowd.

Kate, renowned business woman and speaker will take delegates through an informative overview of the importance building and maintaining one’s brand. “In order to remain competitive and ahead of your game, your personal brand has become increasingly important. Over that past few decades, one could argue that personal branding never really mattered, but with the world becoming a smaller global village and the walls of privacy deteriorating, personal branding has become increasingly important. Personal branding is about finding your unique selling point and leveraging into success,” she added.

Kate further commented that a brand is more than just a logo. A brand is the measurement of your organisation’s reputation and awareness in the market, as well as a customer’s experience. A brand has both functional and emotional elements which create a relationship between the organisations offering clients, staff and community. It’s not a marketing strategy; it’s the positioning and communication platform for an organisation to be brought to life – it’s who they are and what they say,” she said.

Chief Executive Officer for the SACSC Amanda Stops said that building impactful brands is no easy feat but once a brand has established themselves, maintaining this position is not easy. “In today’s digital age, brands need to evolve and make sure that they have the edge over their competitors. Kate knows brands and she knows what it takes to be one top of your competitors” she said.

This event sponsored by Fidelity Security Group, takes place on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Granger Bay from 7am.
