The reserve measures 2000ha and is situated on the mountain slopes above Pilgrim’s Rest in Nelspruit. The private nature reserve is popular with bird lovers and regarded as one of Mpumalanga’s premier forest-birding destinations. The terrain is varied, including steep hillsides covered in dense forest, thorny thicket on the lower slopes, river valleys and gardens.
