The Swaziland government will, later this month, officially open the first of four major projects it has initiated in Manzini as part of its millennium programme to provide world-class facilities for trade fairs, sport and recreation.
First to be completed and opened will be the Mavuso exhibition and trade centre, a conference and exhibition facility with two large exhibition halls and six pavilions. It will be followed by the construction of a multi purpose sports complex, a Fifa-approved soccer stadium and a Swazi cultural theme park.
DAB, a consortium of architects, civil, electrical and mechanical engineers, quantity surveyors and construction experts, was contracted by the Swazi government to deliver the projects over a six-year period.
The project director of the consortium, Ashley Kerfoot, says invited guests and media will be the able to view the exhibition centre on November 25 when it is unveiled by the initiators of the project, the economic planning and development ministry.
